Sausage with Rice

What you need

  • 6oz.
    Tomato (diced)
  • 2Tbsp.
    Onion (diced)
  • 1clove
    Garlic (peeled)
  • 1cup
    Long grain rice
  • 2Tbsp.
    Vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2cup
    Chicken stock
  • 4links
    Johnsonville® Polish Sausage (sliced)
  • 3/4cup
    Carrots (diced)
  • 3/4cup
    Peas
  • 1 1/2tsp.
    Salt
  • 1pc.
    Serrano pepper

Preparation

    Blend tomatoes, onion and garlic on high speed until smooth, strain.

    Fry rice with oil in skillet until golden, pour tomato purée over rice and cook until tomato changes color, add chicken stock, sliced Johnsonville® Polish Sausage, carrots, peas, salt and serrano pepper, mix until salt is dissolved.

    Bring rice to a boil, lower heat to lowest setting cover skillet and cook until rice is fully cooked (about 20 minutes). Remove from heat and let rice stand for 10 minutes and serve.
